Made c1960, this is Fleischmanns version of Dolls original compact design of candlestick engine with a through-boiler crankshaft. My example has a replica chimney which is slightly taller than it would have been originally. The engine was provided with a small solid fuel burner tray, just about big enough fo one Esbit tablet! I fire it with a small spirit vapourising burner.
