Notes: | First offered in 1952 in both a stand alone version and as tethered to Jensen #10 and #20 engines, cast iron base, 3 part magnet construction, brass/nickeled lamp post, produced 3-6 volts AC at high rpms. Later replaced with aluminum bases, but same magnet/armature and lamp. A favorite among Jensen collectors, this style was the third major type of generator offered by Jensen beginning with the horseshoe magnet style, single year 1951 round magnet and finally in 1952 to present...the 3 part magnet, with transition in the mid 80s to present of an aluminum base vs. cast iron seen here. |
