Notes: Mastrand Road Roller c1953 bought by my Father from Gamage Toy Shop in Holborn London: Rare 1953 Mastrand Steam Roller With all the accessories including drive belt Original box and instructions (see photo) Purchased from Gamage Ltd. London in 1953 (see photo of original invoice) There is also some correspondence with the manufacturer in 1953 Very good condition - one small area of chipped paint, Mastrand steam roller The inspiration for the Mamod SR1 Steam Roller. (Note) The Mastrand Boilers Where tested to 100 lb per square inch Safety Valve: ¼ x 40mm T.P.I. Mechanical Engineering Standard M.E. Running time 20 - 25 minutes. The engine works on saturated steam to active the running of the oscillating piston.
