In the very short time they existed, Mersey made a range of quite exquisite engines. In keeping with other manufacturers they also made a range of accessories, model worshop tools, that could be run by the engines. The range included a drill, press, grindstone, a rather splendid lathe and this benchsaw. There are quite a number of engines safe in the hands of collectors, but very few of the tools have emerged! I consider this example to be very special indeed.
